UNSW Resource recovery and waste services

From February 2007 UNSW has surpassed the NSW Government 2014 waste reduction / resource recovery targets. Furthermore, we have done so in a manner that focuses on highest resource value outcomes, and targets scarce resources towards environmentally preferred strategies of avoidance, reuse, and on-site reprocessing.

The efforts of the UNSW Environment Unit will see UNSW as the benchmark in the tertiary education sector, and a leader in Australia with regards to resource recovery and waste minimisation.

UNSW implements a range of waste and recycling services (see below) to manage materials in over 10 different streams for reuse, recycling and disposal.
